Twin turbo- need info.. want to use sil 62
I want to go with twins, my temps aren't too bad now, I have rarely seen 1350, but I want to stack an mp 8 and do injectors. I want to use my Silver 62 also. I'm assuming I would use it as the secondary, but I don't know what to use as Primary, or who to use to build the pipes..... I've already spent a fortune on this truck and go fast addiction, so please provide bargain basement recommendations....
Thanks

How big do you want to go as far as HP? Is this your play truck, race truck, tow truck, or daily driver.
I'd guess an S475 would be best for a daily driver, tow truck, occasional racer up to 700 HP. You'll want the new traditional S480 if you want 800+ HP.

I used a Phat Shaft 62 over a B2 and laid down the numbers in the signature below on DF2 only and Flux 3.3's. With the cam and tight TC, this set lit quick. Very streetable set up.
Talk with Nathan at MPI. He built the new set for me, and I can't say enough about the craftsmanship and customer support.
Enjoy!

Bargain basement bottom turbo is the S475. You can find them for around 650 brand new and if you are looking for twin pipes, go with Snane at wicked Diesels. He'll sell a complete kit w/out turbos for around $1800, add a S475 at $650 and you'll have your twins for less than $2500.00.

Nrussell has a setup using a Silver 62 over an S475. He couldn't say enough good about it. I'll also know how that combo runs in my truck in a couple weeks.

Cool Mike, I'm selling my Bullet to a friend of mine (I pulled my trailer on Friday.. 1st time with the Bullet.... yah, no likey....), so I want to use the Silver 62 in the setup. I will be doing Flux 2's or 3's, not sure yet, I want to be about 700, but still be able to tow my boat and TT. I think I have everything to be at that HP, but the Air and an MP8.

If your only looking for 700hp why do you want to use a Silver 62? It will spool slower then a 71mm or 65mm turbine wheel. At 700hp you wont notice much of a difference in power either.

With your auto tranny, I'd think you'd enjoy a 62/65/13SS on top - great spoolup and driveability with plenty of room to play in the 700 HP range using the right parts & tune.

Ok, which do I keep for 700hp, quick spool for towing, the Bullet or the Sil 62? I was going to use the 62 as the secondary... are you saying that the 66 will be better as a secondary and give me good towing boost too? With the 66 on now, I hate towing my TT... way too much lag, I'm putting the 62 back on tomorrow becuase I will be towing alot in the next few months..

I have both, I'm swapping back to my 62 for towing until I figure out what twins to do. I was going to sell my 66 to a friend, but I may sell the 62 now instead.
