twin problems

So i've been screwing around with these twins for a while and i cant get them to spool quickly, im up around 2000 rpm before they get moving. It makes 60+ psi on the top end but by that time i gotta let off cause im doin 100 mph. I started looking at my turbos and i cleaned the plate off on my factory top turbo and its really an H1C...i sound like an idiot i know......on a 95 engine!!...i dont know what size housing it is. Could this be my problem? I disconnected the actuator from the wastegate on the h1c when i built the setup, could the wastegate still be still opening? I'm running an external on the exhaust manifold piped to the bottom turbo.

Sounds like you are on the right track... Need to find out what size housing it has on it.. but since it has a wastegate.. the sizes are limited... Yes the gate could be opening.. or stuck open.. If you take the turbo off.. you and thread the hole and put a plug in it.. or weld it shut.
Try taking the linkage off the actuator, and see if it moves further when it is off... something to try before you take the back of the housing off..
What size housing is on the 3B??

if you have no actuator on it you will need to weld it shut. That setup should start spooling way before 2000

Yes.. if there is no actuator on the Hc1.. the waste gate will stay open.. so you are basically just driving one side of the Hc1.. (The gate only limits the back 3 cylinders..) Just to try your theory.. just wire the linkage to pull the gate shut..
Good luck..

If you weld the gate shut, you won't be able to tune. Find a regulated air source and set the wastegate so that the linkage starts to get loose at around 24-26psi. It is also a good idea to drill the hole into the other side so both sides vent a little.

I gotta get off my butt and post some pictures up here of this truck, i think you all will like it. thanks again!

Looks good.. lots of hard work in the conversion... Now you can do a little tuning with the external gate..
