Will the turbo work?

Ok I may be buying a turbo off a 12 valve if it will fit up on my 24 valve. Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It will fit. If it's an H1C or WH1C, this would be a step backwards in performance...

When you loss your VP, buy a SO pump instead of the HO pump. you'll pick some top end power that your new sps62 will provide you. Whats the size of turbine housing?

I didn't think you could swap a HO for a So pump. I was always under the impression that something in the computer was different.

Don't bet on it. You might be wishing for the "crappy twins" again.

The large turbine on the Silver turbos is great for nitrous and pushing a compressor far off its map. But if you're within the design considerations of the compressor, the larger turbine isn't of that much benefit, imo. It will flow more freely at high boost levels, but you give up a good bit of spoolup to get that last 5% or so..

(see sig)

Well when I say crappy twins I mean the take forever to spool for twins (2300-2400 rpms) thats probably the best they have started spooling.

I'd suggest trying to fix what's wrong with your twins setup. Sometimes a housing swap and/or wastegate tuning can do wonders.

Do you not think that this turbo will spool faster than 2300rpm's?

I'm not trying to quantify the performance of the big single. I'm saying that the twins should do better than any single--- they need some tweaking to perform right.

If the twins aren't spooling until 2300rpm, then something isn't right. When you fix whatever is wrong, you'll have a setup that is much better overall than a large single.

I agree completly! Im just getting really tired of trying to figure out what the problem is with no availe. i guess If I dont like this turbo I can always sell it after saving up for a good set of twins that arent a throw together kit.
