I got rid of my silencer ring and cut some holes in the stock air box. I also removed the boot to the fender. I have the K&N filter. Mine sounds off pretty good.

2 steps of whine enhancement:
1. dump the stock airbox & replace with a K&N RE-0880. If that's too loud, put on a BHAF. An AFE may be same or close to the K&N ... never tried it.
2. if that's not loud enough, give Rod @ Wildcat a jingle & get a ScottyII & cut the hole. If that's too loud, build a cowl dam. ;D

For even more whine, find some rich girl in a BMW, and have her take a ride in your truck while maintaining 10Lbs of boost for 2 hours. That is sure to induce some extra whine.
