hey would a blitz turbo timer work on my 98 12v? i know that the blitz company is popular in the import tuning world, but the ones you see for diesels are around 150 and i found this blitz turbo timer for 69.95. do you think that i would work
thank you

I would like to know the same thing. It seems to me that if it were wired into the fuel shut off valve, to hold it up, it should work. If this is wrong I hope someone will set us straight.

i am not sure there is enough electronics on 12vs to get it to work. the greddy one on my talon adjusted time in consideration of how long i have driven, how fast, how high rpms...
best way to find out would be to get a 12v wiring diagram and try and match the blitz with it before hand. google installing the blitz and it should give you a run down of where every wire needs to run.
example....
http://vwroadtrip.peterbeers.net/GTI...er_install.htm
Here's the wiring for my MkIV GTI:

On the turbo timer, the wiring is goes like this

red wire goes to 12v Constant

Green wire goes to ignition switched 12v

blue wire goes to Ignition accessory wire

black wire goes to ground

purple wire goes to the ground or hand brake.
looking at that, though...it might be possible. i don't know how the ignition of the 12v works or the wires for it, though...

Turbo Yimer

Why not build one. There are several diagrams available on the Internet. I've found them from 20 sec. to days. There are some kits also.

Mike, could you give us a link to the sites to build them? I have looked for a long time and have yet to come across one.

I found this: http://www.canakit.net/ UK249M20 - 20 Minute Delay Timer (Assembled), CK002 - Mini Electronic Timer (Kit).

I'll look for the others tomorrow.
