That sounds like a great match to your current combination. What are the specs on that turbo? Im also interested in the same combination. We need some advice in here.

I just finished installing mine tonight. Turbo hits alot harder than stock, it lights up the tires pretty good. I could peg my pyro before 55 before, I got up to 95 today and it was only at 1400. I don't notice any lag difference compared to stock. I bought mine used off ebay. I'm happy with it so far. oh yea, it whistles alot better as well.

Before I installed my super b special I had the same setup as you, and it ran ok. Then after with my 1.6's I found that they wouldn't push enough fuel to spool the turbo, and it is the special so its a little bigger. Then I put in my DDP 150's and with my chip off spooled nicer than the 1.6's. I do have my smarty on but thats only because I want the tire/ milage correction otherwise it is the perfect setup till I go to twins then there needs to be some head work etc.

s300 super b
i just put one of these on my truck.am i ever disapointed.sure it goes like stink but you need to step on it real hard to make it happen.the stock one was much better.i am running 4 inch exhaust and a 70 horse fuel plate.i think i may change it back.what a waste of money and effort.i think a person would be better to get the improved waste gate and try that.my truck still goes real well with the stock turbo and boost fitting.oh yeah the biggest difference has been my afe air filter.i find the super b doggy until you standon it real hard

I think thats the first time I've heard of a Super B being slow to spool. A bigger turbo is gonna be slower to spool than the stocker, its just the nature of the beast. I too sometimes wish I had the stock turbo on the truck, as it was easier to drive, but it had nothing on this turbo on the big end.
Have you adjusted your AFC at all since putting on the new turbo?
