Question Turbo temp gauge

Does anyone have a video or instruction sheet on install of turbo temp probe?
In my Ford, I drilled tapped about 18" beyond the turbo on the exhaust pipe.

Nope, but you're supposed to drill and tap the manifold, need to know the temp before it hits the turbo not after. Run a search on here, you may find pics.

Wonder why the Ford would have the sensor after the turbo?
Maybe I was mistaken, been awhile. I'll keep searchin for an answer.
thanks

Well, I know you can measure the temp after the turbo, but before is what you want to measure.

Well, it is Ford we're talking about....

Heat energy is converted to shaft power by the turbine to drive the compressor therefore, if you sample your exhaust gas temperature post turbo, you are not taking an accurate sample.
