Turbo Question
I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me. I have seen several 14 & 16 cm housings for the HX35 turbo in the classifieds, which comes with a 12 cm housing for stock trucks. Can you just change the housing and improve air flow & lower EGT numbers, or is there more to it than that? I was thinking of trying a Hybrid. I am just getting too hot a EGT's with my current HX35. I need more cool air. I want to keep my turbo where it will tow very well. Thanks for any advice. I am looking at a deal on a BANKS Hybrid. What can anyone tell me about it? Thanks.

I have a friend who just bought a hybrid cartridge & installed on his 98.5. It is a really nice unit. You just unbolt your HX35 & install the HX40 into your HX35 housing.....very easy & cheap, but really helped his egts. He got it from Advanced Diesel Technology 304-864-3399.

So did he get the exhaust side or intake side? I am confused on this. I would still like some info on just putting a larger intake on mine. There were some advertised in the classifieds. Thanks

It would be the compressor housing and 60mm wheel [intake side]designed for a Hx40 that you would put on your Hx 35 turbo to give you more flow
[volume]of air to help cool those EGT'S. LOL
