turbo problem
Hey Guys, the turbo in my father in laws 97 5 speed went out the other day. We ended up taking the one off my 95 5 speed that is wrecked. It works ok but there is a metal hose coming from the afc housing that is not being used now. This turbo just has the small line from the compressor housing to the wastegate. He says it has less power now too. Can we just put a tee in the small line to the waste gate to get pressure to the afc housing? If not how do we hook it up? Thanks Chris.

yes you can.... he has less power now because that line going into afc housing adds more fuel as boost increases. so he's not getting much fuel now which means not much power.
how was your 95 hooked up? must have had a line going into the afc.
