Question What turbo to get?

Well right now i am in the market at looking for a new turbo for the truck. I do not know much about turbos so any help and insight would be great. I am looking for something that will help me in the long run. In the future i would probably want to see this truck around mid 500 hp or so and i am looking for a turbo that would probably be best for my needs. I do not want a whole lot of lag, just want something that will spool faster, keep the egts low as usual and so on. I have heard a lot about people using the HTT turbos, the Silver Bullet (seems a bit pricey), and i was also wondering if many ran any Garrett turbos. It will be an every day driver and i want something that will be efficient and what not. Been told that maybe a 62...would be good for me cause of the quick spool and what not. And also if you can give me a rough price range i would greatly appreciate it. Sorry for the long post!

Thanks, Randall

Im running the Bullet, but if you want to stay away from extra lag i go another route. Its not too bad but there is more.

I will definitely give them a call! Are all the HTT turbos having wastegate problems? I thought i saw another guy start a thread saying he was having problems with his also and 06RAM2500 said he is having problems with his. Dont want something that will give me problems just something that is efficient. Thanks for the help guys and if you have anymore input let me know!

No need for the 64 for the 500 HP range. Going too big is the one misy=take I see guys do. The turbo should be matched to the HP goals and driving styles. The 62mm turbos will wotk very well for him and support his HP goal with minimal lag.

I am really enjoying my 64/71/13ss. Might be the best mod I have done to my truck so far.

i absolutly love my new Industrial Injection Silver 62. i installed ats's arc flow and exhaust manifold at the same time and you wouldnt believe how fast it spools with edge set on #5. im getting 48#s of boost on level 5 and about 45 on 4, and so on. level one is around 39.
and yes they say it will support up to 600+. sounds good to
