Turbo bark with addition of 16 cm...normal?
I put on my 16 cm today, as well as put in my probe for pyro. (should be hooking up friday when I have more free time). Me and my dad took her out for a test drive, about 55 degrees or so outside air. Got on the highway, doing good. few questions though.
It feels like it took a little off my top end, do I need more fuel now?
Also, I know its barking and why because it happened whenever my dad had it floored then let off pretty quick. Is this normal, the only mods I have are whats in my sig. How bad/detrimental is this?

A 3200 governor spring will give you quite a bit more top end.
Barking is compressed air flowing backwards through the turbo's compressor. It is a torque trying to spin the compressor wheel backwards, and so it's hard on the shaft. It sounds cool, but avoid it if possible. I have a video in the link in my sig of what mine sounded like dropped from 32psi (before the Stage IV).
Any upgrade from HTT (Stage I, II, III, or IV) will fix the bark. An HX35 will also cure it.

That video sounds exactly like what mine was doing. So best thing to do until I can get an HTT upgrade is to not go full boost then let off suddenly?

I have the 16 and it still barks, I just ordered the HTT Stage III upgrade which I believe will help. The bark gets worse with hot weather and towing. Last summer when I was in 100 degree plus temps towing my 5th wheel I had to be very careful with the throttle to keep it from barking. This winter I have had hardly any trouble with it.

I've got the stock 18 housing and a stage 3 upgrade and mine will bark if I get out of it to quick at boost higher than 25psi. when I'm playing around I just make sure to let off easy.

Got the Stage III installed and it is great. No more turbo bark at all no matter how hard I try even if I back out suddenly at 35 PSI. Screams like a banshee also, even whistles and builds boost on downshift.

If you bark it too many times you will break the turbo shaft. I did, but I was glad, because it justified going to the HTT Stage IV!!!!!!
