What turbo and injectors?

I've changed my mind about the BD downloader addition to my truck. I would like to put on a strong turbo that spools quick for my six speed, and that can handle the six-gun, 100hp injectors and maybe propane. I don't have problems now with EGT's getting too high, but with the injectors???

BTW, who has the best 100hp injectors and how much? Turbo?

Ram,

See my sig. My turbo spools real quick, and comes with a warranty. Real steady throughout the powerband. Max boost around <50. EGT's are are very managable, temps are around 750 cruising at 70mph, I have hit 1400 degrees at WOT. Cools down rather quickly, within a minute or two of parking. I would also recommend an ATS exhaust manifold to go with the new turbo, as your new injectors will have an adverse effect on your egt's. The manifold will help in the cooling and egt department, worth every penny and recommended.

As far as injectors, I went with the ones Janetty Racing puts out. They are rated at 80 hp, but said to be around 90+ on the dyno. Paid $700 + $700 corp charge. If you do the install yourself, watch the brass posts! I had one snap off on me, had to have repaired, took a few days but cheaper then a new injector.

Rick, at Dave's Diesel in Angola Indiana, has some 140 hp injectors for $1400 (wish I would have known). Give him a call, 260-665-5396. He sells and installs all sorts of high hp stuff for our rigs. Very nice to do business with and one heck of a busy shop.

Oh yea, my boxes are all set to the max. Lifts the steer tires off of the ground. Very happy!

localnet, do you know who's injectors Janetty is selling?.....DDs, KAX, BullyDog, etc.? That seems like a rather good price. Just wondering who's injectors you would be getting for that price.

AK,

They send them out to a place in Maine, I believe. I had the info, but it was inadvertently thrown out. The shop that actually builds them is a Diesel Injecton repair/remanufacturer. And yes, the price was good. They have performed flawlessly.

Give Chris a call at Jannety, he has the low down on the shop that actually does the injectors. Jannetys number is in the links section.

Great looking truck BTW....

Hey forthcomingtwin, I remember you posting a while back that you were having a hard time breaking the 450hp mark. Did you ever figure out what was going on?

How are you liking your DD3s? How is the low boost smoke with those when your not pouring the fuel to it with the TST and EZ?

The Super B must be a strong turbo to be taking the punishment of the TST, EZ, and DD3s.

actually i am having trouble breaking the 450 mark.... BUT i am happy with the turbo, i have the tst on 4/4 ALL the time and it never goes above 1200... after 4/4 i seem to lose power... with the eze stacked i notice no real difference.. i honestly BEAt this setup consistently.. 2 sets of tires and 3 transmissions... i am getting BD's twin setup in the next few days, my truck will be the instructional setup for it... im hoping that air was and or is my problem now... we'll see
on a side note there is no turbo bark from this turbo
also from the injector point of view, i dont really get much smoke... a little hazing at first but it clears right up... im hoping the twin setup will let me use kill on the tst
