Hey there, I posted yesterday that I had a small amount of seepage on the back of my turbo. Dealer checked it out and said it was only residue and sent me on my way. Something about an "E" clamp. I cleaned it up and so far all is well.

Here is my question, after doing some searches on here, some guys have checked the CAC tube for oil residue. Is that the tube coming out of the FRONT side of the turbo heading up towards the right front Headlight and then back over to the Drivers side of the engine ???? On all the threads I read it said to check that as if there is oil there it can cause a run away condition... thanks!!

You are correct, the CAC hose you want to check for oil residue is the one you described. There is one on each side, passenger and driver's side, and they are both attached to the nozzles on the intercooler. You need only take off the one on the passenger side to do the check you described.

thanks! I figured I was right on there. The clamp on there looks kind of funny. I called the dealer back to see if they had done this when I brought it in. The Tech was right there and said no, he saw no reason to ck it for the concern I brought it in for and that if oil is getting into that tube there is usually reside on the clamp portion of it. Mine was bone dry. Still is... Think I should still ck it?

I sent you a P.M. back. Yes, I don't think it would hurt to check that CAC hose on the passenger side. If it is clean, just put it right back on.
