Tube grill on ebay

Anyone bought one of these? SS grill
It looks decent and the price seems good. What do ya think? Better product or price somewhere else?

That's the best looking billet grille I've seen. The price looks great. The OEM grill is chrome over plastic & road debris peels the chrome paint for $90.00.

A lot of those grills on E-bay get negative feedbacks because of the cheesy ways they have to be mounted. I was going to get one a while back but Then I learned it was held on with tie-wraps that were easily visible......

The seller doesn't know as much about his product as he thinks, that would make me a little leary. There is a statement that says "It fits 2002~2005 Dodge RAM (all models)". That is wrong. That grill will not fit a 2002 2500/3500.

I thought that this was interesting too. The thing is, every manufacturer of these inserts, that I could find on the web, state the same thing - 2002-2005?

This company sells 3 or 4 different designs. They state that this one (the one I linked to) requires you to cut out the stock grill and replace w/ this one.

My guess is the seller means 2002-2005 1500 Rams. Everyone knows the 02 2500-3500 is the old body style. If you have a 02 2500-3500 and you can't figure out if the grill insert will fit or not by the picture, you got problems.....

something else that i don't like is the shipping and "handling"

$33.00!!!??? give me a break. someone that charges $20.00 for handling i wouldn't even consider doing business with. boxes are cheap.

britt,
I didn't like the S&H charges either. However, if the product is $100 cheaper and yet better quality than the dealership, it is worth it. I emailed this company and the the product I linked to attaches with nuts/bolts so it seems to be decent quality. They also said they would give a shipping discount if I purchased through their website. I'll probably give them a try.

I completely agree with you… it is a good price and it looks like a quality grill. I just cannot stand it when someone advertises something at a low price only to make it up on the back end. I don’t trust someone like that. This type of practice is deceptive to me.

I personally wouldn’t buy this grill from this guy if he were only charging $20.00 for it. To me, just sell it for what you want to get for it and then only charge what it actually cost to ship it. He would never make be believe that it cost $33.00 for a box and shipping. Even if he were trying to make up some of the cost for running the auction and the paypal charge it wouldn’t = $33.00!
Sorry I’m getting worked up.

I obliviously have WAY too much time on my hands.

Britt

I've got one. Bolts on, looks good and heavy-duty construction too. Even with the shipping charge it was cheaper than I could find it elsewhere.

thunderdawg,
Do you mean you have the same one I linked to (same company)?
