TT advice needed re: sway control

I have only towed a medium-sized 5th wheel, so that's all I know. My 5er tracked great and needed nothing other than a sliding 5er hitch.

But I sold my big fifth wheel trailer and got an ultralite 16' single-axle travel trailer. I think it weighs around 2200# unloaded - I could basically pull this thing with my Camry.

Question: do I need some kind of sway control? Are big trucks going to blow my trailer around on the interstate? If you do recommend sway control, what's a good, cheap bolt-on system?

No. I just bought a 24' tt @3500lbs and towed it 150mi sunday in very windy conditions with no sway bar and it didn't sway at all. I was scared going to get it because the truck was blowing a little on the way up but it towed with less sway with the trailer.

I think that every trailer is different and size matters. I had a 30' TT with dual sway control from Reese (latest and greatest in 06) and my trailer was movin all the time above 55 mph, never out of my lane of course but movin. Any large vehicle even an SUV would suck it over and some semis were, well scary as they went buy.

You definitely don't need sway control with that little trailer.
Your truck won't even know it's back there.
Just make sure you load it properly in regards to tongue weight.

I tow a 31' TT no sway control & up the columbia gorge it always blows but I don't need any sway control as she drags just fine.

Make sure at least 60% of the total weight is in front of the axle or the trailer will wag the truck above 60mph.
