tst question
If I wanted to try a tst on my truck, wich one would be good to try? I will probablly look for a used one because I am not sure if I will like it or not. Should I stack it with smarty and mp8? A hint twards settings would be help full to. I also want to know what rail preasure gauge to get. I used to have a quadzilla gauge but I was verry dissapointed in it and threw it away. I guess I am looking for one that will not wipe out my fuel Rail Preasure Sencer.
Thanks, Justin.
Thanks, Justin.

A TST makes a big difference in power but will also skyrocket the EGT's especially with bigger injectors. You will want to find a TST w/ adj. timing because with aftermarket injectors you will end up with to much timing and may hurt the motor. The TST will really shine after about 2500 rpm right when the smarty starts tapering off.
I have used a di-pricol rail p gauge on my truck for almost 3 years now with no problems.

Thanks for the info, I can't get my trucks egt's over 1225. I can while pulling 14k combined trailer weight, I can mabe hit 1425 but that is really getting on it.(peddel to the metal to see how much boost and egt while towing)

I have an old R37 TST, would like a newer one with adjustable timing. The TST is a good compliment to the Smarty for the top end, I cannot use any of the tq settings on the TST with Smarty, drains the rail too quick and makes funny banging noises.
The TST early twins program is strong, I cannot run it currently because I do not have head studs in yet, and on 5/2 it will peg my 60# gauge in the blink of an eye. The other poster is also correct about egt's getting hot quickly, the newer models do have an adjustable fuel backdown feature, along with timing, pressure, and lots of fueling combinations, but they are rather spendy.
Love my TST!
