On my 01', I can set my PM3 comp egt to 1700* and it still starts to defuel at 1250*. When it starts this, I can let out of the pedal and dig back in and it will somewhat straighten up. My question is how can I deactivate the egt safety setting? I am going to a sled pull and I don't want it to defuel due to high egt's. Why is it still cutting the fuel at 1250* when the safety is set to max at 1700*? When it hits 1250*, the smoke from the stacks will disappear under full load. This is in level 9 at about 43psi. Can I unhook the pyro wires anf fool the box? Is my box programmed wrong or gone bad? The directions state that when setting egt safety temp, hit the gray button until it raeds Hi. Set the desired temp and hold gray button until it reads Sav to save setting. Then it states that I should be able to hit the gray button once more and it should display Bnd for band which it states is not adjustable. I can then hit it again and it takes me back to the main screen. On my box, I can set the temp the way the directions state (even though it doesn't work) and then save. When I hit the gray button again, it goes straight back to the boost (main) screen. I have never been able to see Bnd on my screen. Is this a box problem? Thanks in advance for any help.
