TST Installed
Let me start by saying Whollly insert explicative here!
I installed a TST PowerMax3 Competition today...needless to say, I will need a new clutch to fully utilize this component. I started it off on level 1. Not really impressed. Level 2 was better, lots of boost, enough to really feel the truck pull. Level 3 was definately impressive. Lots of boost. Stock boost was around 19-20 psi. This level was enough to make me shift at 3K and not see where the boost stopped. Level 4 was way too much for my clutch. I drove a couple miles...moderate traffic...around 25k, played with level 3 again and the clutch slipped under hard excelleration. Soooooooooooo.......until the clutch is upgraded...Level 2 it is. Much better than, basically a stock truck. I will keep you posted on my impression of this component as my drivetrain gets an overhaul...
There weren't any problems with the VanAaken, either. The install comprised of a 12 ignition, pump tap, map sensor plug, and one tap wire ground on a can bus wire. Pretty simple and straight forward install. Well worth the money imho. Left me looking like this when I got out

I bought an 02 3500 with the TST installed about 2 months ago. This was a big step up from the 94 2500 I've been driving for the last 7 years. Until a few days ago I was running on Level 4 (which was where it was set when I picked it up) and have tried to figure how to get my fuel milage up all the while blowing anybody's doors off that messed with me. Well I just bumped it back to the 2 setting and can already see an amazing difference in the number of miles I'm getting off this tank of fuel and still I'm enjoying the power though it isn't nearly as quick to spool up. There were no books that came with this and I would really like to get my hands on some literature about this product if you know where I can.
