tst early twins?

anybody think the tst early twins is slowing me down at the track. seems the tst standard version runs a little faster at the track. my feeling is it fuels so hard so quick that it puts the cp3 working so hard to rebuild rail pressure. truck is down right now so now is the time to send it in if im gonna do it. any opinions on this?

I ran the twins program on my 05, not with an r49 either. It made a difference to me, I ran an sps 66 along with a power pup. I liked the twins but I wanted it for smoke mainly. I didnt have an upgraded cp3 or injectors, it would cut out some, but not a whole lot.

Upgrade to the R49 with multiple programs and timing controls. Then it will be easier to find the right tune for your configuration. Upgrading was well worth it to me. Just my .02. BTW with my configuration and stack the 05twins program produced my best ETs.

i thought about upgrading but my god i have enogh trouble with ez. bddl and tst. cant imagine how many combos there would be with 3 or 4 tst programs in the mix lol. i may end up doing it though. ive heard a couple of times that the tst twins slowed people down in the 1/4 thats why i was thinking about it. can they upgrade my r 37? its one of the very first ones.

The dual feed line violates a standard design practice in fluid dynamics. It feeds pulsing and pressurized fuel into the rail @ nearly the same location on the rail, but one on top and one on bottom. Directly opposing one another.

Perhpas the dual feed is doing something I dont understand, but the basic idea of the feed locations is wrong on paper.

Try the rail with a single inlet and see what happens.

Winter fuel and even winter blend ULSD may be part of the problem as well.

I think all 3rd gen TSTs can be upgraded to R49, just the earlier ones (Serial Number below 5000) can not have Rail Pressure option. Call with your serial number and they will tell you how much to upgrade. It is worth it. The granularity you have then with the TST will make it much easier to dail in an optimal stack tune.

don, really no problem. the truck runs like a dream. just wanted a little better time in the 1/4. 3 is the highest i can run my tst currently and 2 is the highest without the dual feed line. i just put a helix 2 in my truck. same break in as a second gen? 1500 rpm for 15 min lots of lube?

ramwheelsby4, i will call then in the am about doing that. thanks
