TS Performance TC lockup

I just put a TS Performance TC lockup controller in my '96 Dodge CTD and haven't noticed any difference (have a Pacbrake exhaust brake). Their instructions are OK as far as installing it, but leave a lot to desire in it's use and what to look for in it's operation. How can I tell when it's working (or NOT working)? Can anyone enlighten me?

Lock up your torque converter when in OD. Take your foot off the skinny pedal. If your RPM don't change, the lockup switch is working. If your RPM drops like it usually does (falls around 1000 and tranny goes into neutral) your switch isn't working.

I could be wrong on this but I thought pacbrake when wired in the pace brake controls the lock up on the torque converter. When pb is working the tc stays locked.I looked at that for my 95 and see its quite the set up.

The Pacbrake only controls it IF you have the trans controller installed.

Thanks Lary. I'll do that tomorrow. By "trans controller" do you mean the TS lockup controller?

No if you buy the correct Pacbrake kit for an automatic transmission truck it comes with an add on trans controller which takes care of the lock out for you.

Pacbrake kits for standard trans trucks do not have them.

The pacbrake for I looked at was wired to the TC and would hold it locked on my 95 so the manual says. I must go back and reread that info again.

While your at it, ask them if they are going to make anymore of them. I have been wanting to get one for a long time now and they have been on back order for months.
