ts mp-8 Question

Does your mp8 change the tone of your motor any with twins on? My friend has one on his 05 and it will change the sound of the motor as you turn it up and down. On my 2003 with twins and tst it does not change the tone when you turn it up and down. Have not gotten to drive it yet. But it does start and run fine in the garage. Just wondering if it is working!

There might be something wrong with mine or it might be connected incorrectly (although I do not know how that would be possible with the plugs) because mine will do nothing until the **** gets right at 0% and then the engine runs ultra lean and stalls.

I have the same MP-8 on my 07 as I ran on the 03. It did not change the tone of the engine on either one. I ran a Van Aaken C3.2 on the 03 and that box made the truck sound different when it was turned on.. DWiggs, there was an extra plug on the MP-8 that you would use for different trucks. That one was supposed to be capped with a plug provided and there was also something else that had to be set to make it work properly on your truck. If you set that wrong then that's probably your problem.....Check your directions.....

50% is as high as you want to turn it too. Most people see their best power on the dyno with the TST on 5/4. Yes all the way to the left is off. You should have gotten a little dial that is supposed to be mounted behind the dial...

The little dial is such a small flat piece that you guys probably just overlooked it in the box. If you still have the box it came in I'd bet it's in there upside down....

Well the mp-8 works and it is very smooth on my truck. It is a great kill button when needed. I had a import behind me today with his radio shaking the windows and driving around like he was a road racer. So i rolled the **** to the right and let him have it sideways down the road. I dont run with the tst turned up to much unless im going to use it. Than on the highway a durasmack pulled up beside me and then went around slow!! So i turned the TST up on kill and the mp-8 about half way. Pulled up beside them gave a little puff. Then left him in a haze. I slowed back down they came around again and would not even look over at me. There windows were tinted and so are mine but i could see there heads staight forward. And to think they had a big old chrome set hanging off the spare tire. I will let everyone know what this has added to the truck as far as hp number when i can get back on david dunbars dyno! I want to thank everyone for there responses that helped me make this decision. It is nice to have all the info and spend the money once.
