Trying to order a AirDog fuel pump

Trying to order a AirDog fuel pump
I have a 99 24v and im going to order an airdog fuel pump (150gph) for it. I was wondering do i need to order the one with the in tank pump out without the in tank pump? My fuel system is still stock so im sure there is a pump in the tank already. Is there a way to just bypass the pump in the tank completley or do i need to order an aftermarket fuel pump for in the tank to go along with the air dog? It may be a stupid question but im new to the diesel world so i figured id ask some experts. Thanks in advance!

You need to check and see if you have a block mounted pump. It will be beneath and behind the fuel filter. If you have a block mounted pump you can just bypass it if you have an in-tank pump you need to get a drawstraw.

You shouldn't have the intank pump unless it was done under warranty by the dealer.
Airdog is a seperate unit mounted on the frame rail.

Ive read up on some other things about putting the airdog on my truck and some people have trouble with it giving them to much fuel. Is that something i should worry about with the 150gph on my truck? Or will it be ok?

I have a 150, and I wished I had gotten the 100, as really unless your shooting for over 500hp, the 100 is more than enough, and the 100 does not require a draw straw, basically it is plug and play, compared to dropping the tank and installing a drawstraw for the 150
if pressure is too high it can cause a little harder starting.

Yea i must have. The truck is pretty much stock now except for the edge but within a year it should hopefully be over 500hp! Thats why i wanted to go ahead with the 150. Thanks for the info.

If you have the stock block mounted lift pump and not the in tank get the AD100. It will hook up to the stock pickup and is good for well over 500 RWHP. If you use the stock pickup you wont have to deal with the 1/4 tank issues.

Most people have the 1/4 tank issues due to not doing it correctly.
When you drop the tank sit it on 2x4's where the straps go then measure and cut the draw straw to length. If you just sit the tank on the floor and measure you will have the incorrect measurement.
We've done quite a few at the Cave on Chapter members trucks.
