Trying to access the site

Is anyone else having problems accessing the site these days? It's now 7.45 pm EST and the site has slowed down so much I keep getting server busy notices. Is this the west coast signing on? The last few weeks I've had to abandon the site at about this time, and go somewhere else. Is this normal?

I installed a function that could have affected this. I just removed it and the server load seems lower now. We'll have to give it a couple days before I can accurately determine if this was really the problem.

Thank you sir.
I did contribute a short while ago, in the hope it would keep your head above water, because I value this site above all the others. If necessary I'll gladly do something again. I've gotten a whole lot off this site, more than I've managed to contribute, and I'd like to keep it going.

Thanks John. We all appreciate the compliments on the site. It's a lot of work from the moderators etc. but we think it's worth it.

Hey Jack didn't we have a Paypal link to donate at one point? I just donated through the online store, but it was alot of steps. Seem like paypal would be quicker and simpler.

I'd say that was the culprit.

Since you removed it, I have yet to see the server busy error.

So far so good. I also have not seen a server busy message since I pulled off that change. Lets give it a couple more days.
