Truck stumbles since installing predator?!?!?!?!

I installed a predator tune from a (U7131) model about 3 weeks ago. Well after a few days the truck started to stumble on the highway around 70mph, so I took the predator off and now is still does it. It doesn't matter if I am on the highway or cruising down the street it will stumble, almost like a surge, but the whole truck just bucks all of a sudden, then just keeps on going. I have no clue what the deal is here. I drained the water separater the other day and that didn't seem to help. Any clue guys? Any help would be apreciatted.

Thanks
Danny

I had that happen to me once on the highway. The CEL came on and I pulled over because the truck lost most of it's power. I cleared the CEL and it has not happened since. That was months ago. It was a common problem and the newest version of their software is supposed to have fixed it...

My truck has less then 11k miles. It stumbles with or without the predator loaded. I have really only ran the tow and performance tunes. I have ran the extreme tune twice for a combined total of about 45 minutes. At first I thought it was the tranny, but after talking to a few buddies, it really doesnt seem like it would be the tranny. It usually only does it on the highway between 70-80 mph. I have checked for any codes with the predator and it shows nothing, no check engine lights or anything comes on. I am stumped here guys. Thanks

Any more Ideas guys? I am taking the truck to the dealer tomorrow evening, they chipped my front bumper the last time it was in the shop to fix the a/c for the 4th time. I told them what the truck was doing and the service rep said there may be a TSB out there, then said something about a reflash. We shall see. I drove the truck over 900 miles today, and it did the whole stumble thing about every 60 miles or so(this is just an average)

I am curious. Let us know if they do have a TSB and what number it is.
Thanx & good luck tomorrow.

Dodge has a tsb out for the 06-07s for light throttle 1-2 shift the stumbling you are seeing is b/c you need to update to the r-16 version once you do so it will no longer read dtc's but will still let you clear them and will no longer have on the fly power levels b/c that is what was causing the problem. Once you get the tsb update for the light throttle if you have this problem also and then install the diablo back in the problem with the light throttle 1-2 shift will appear again as diablo doesnt keep up and update with the latest tsb's like other companies do.

Thanks CReed! I'm not really sure what update my predator has, but if it helps any, I just bought a month ago, but it also came from Amazon Tuning Solutions here in South Carolina. I will be dropping off the truck tomorrow though.

Thanks again guys, you're all the best lol

The version that I have on my predator is the r-14 update. I am assuming that I need the r-16 update. Is this correct?

Yes r-16 is the update you need and will fix your surging issues.

Outstanding! Thank you sir, I will get the update tomorrow then. I was suprised today, my truck was averaging close to 18mpg by hand calculation with the stock tune. When I made this same drive last month with the predator on the performance tune it was averaging close to 21mpg by hand calculation. Those 3mpg over a 900 mile trip make a huge difference.

Just make sure you reload the stock programming into the truck before you take it in. Reflashing the truck with it on could be disasterous.....

Yeah, I put the stock tune back in Friday night before I left the dragstrip. It went a 14.98@88 with just the performance tune and leaving in 4wd. I let out a little at the 1/8 mile mark, then got back into it. 9.40@71 in the 1/8 though lol. I have driven the truck almost 1k miles with the stock tune in it now.

Well I got my truck back today and all is good to go so far. The paint is fixed, the oil is changed, and now the stumble is fixed. I loaded the performance tune back into the truck as soon as I left the dealership, and since I had the r-16 update uploaded into my predator yesterday, it took about 10 minutes to rewrite the tunes for my truck.

Things are squared away with Black Betty once again, all is well now.

Thanks for all the advice guys, your all the greatest guys!
