Cool Truck Stories! Lets here'em

Alright everyone, lets here some of them stories! I read a smoke story thread that was started awhile ago. Since its been a couple of years and lots more members, lets start another one!

I will start it.

So after I install my 3200 rpm spring, I go to town. Mindin' my own business going downhill in town when a Pontiac Bonneville (SSE??) gets on my tail. I make a left hand turn at the next light and so does he. He looked like he was following me. So I look real close at him in my rear-view. He has, in big bold letters, a decal on his windshield "SUPERCHARGED". Well I am in the right hand lane and he goes in the left lane. Well the speed limit is 30, me, I am doing 32.5, him, a little faster. Well as he passes me he looks over and SMIRKED!!! I look at his car real hard now. He looks about 180 (must be a jock at the local high school) with a couple of girls in the back. Sportin' big wheels and rubber band tires. Jet black was his color. Well a stop light comes up. A Chevy with a trailer is in the left hand lane. Oops, this guy slows to a stop. Well I am rolling like 15 mph, when the light turns green. I ease into the pedal and get ahead of the truck. Well as I was changing lane the ricer whips into the right hand lane and hit the gas. He was booking be cause that rear end came down. Well the speed limit changes at this point th 40 mph. Since I am revving a little high, I shifted at the point when I looked into the rear-view mirror. Well with some boost and good ol' number 2, I beat him to the place where the lane converge from 2 to 1. He never made it past my bumper and didn't gain on me when I hit about 50 mph. He followed me a little close when we got outta town, acting like he wanted to pass me. Every time he thought about it, I gave him a little smoke. That is the day when I truly fell in love with my truck. This rednecks truck aint gonna be out done by just any ricer, oh no!

Lets here some Fellas!!

Hehe I have a few stories but they are mostly stuff that the rest of you guys making a bit more HP than stock would just laugh at so I think I'll sit back and enjoy the reading for the time being .

Well last week a friend of mine calls me and says that he is stuck out in the desert so I ask him how bad it is and how deep he is. Well I get out there and then and I finally get to his truck and he is in this 5 foot deep crack (he was screwed) and he was driving his 94 2wd chebby (why he was off roading it who knows). So I hook up my truck and put it in 4lo first grear and suck him right out, didn't even feel it.

Love these trucks

Just today I was out driving and I had my subs just pounding. Pounding to the point where I couldn't make anything out in the rear view mirror . Well this 30-something year old yuppie in her suv looks over at me while we're moving and gives me this look of total dissatisfation. Well we pull up to a stop light, and my subs were still pounding. I look over at her to see another disgusted look. I laugh and proceed to do my left hand turn.

Oh and I don't think she liked my straight pipe barking at her window when I passed her.

Sunday afternoon i pulled out of the gas station in front of some vettes, 7 total. They must of been on a group ride older ones up to new ones. All were convertables, older guys all with their wifes or gfs. I drove nice on the way out of town, not wanting to smoke then for no reason and some harleys got in the back of the group now too. Well we get out of town and were goin down a 55mph strech and the lead vetter is kissing my bumper ( i couldnt see the windshield) hes going in and out looking for the pass and all his buddies were right with him. So after about 2+ miles of drafting me i had enough. Let me tell you that sledpuller takes a long time to spool . I lost sight of the cars for a good 30 seconds. They stayed well back after that tho. I get to the light at the next to and they pull up to me in the turning lane, the lady called me some nasty name so did the guy as he said he wanted to kick my behind . I politely said i firgured that wwas nicer than slamming my breaks and pulling you and your wife out from under my truck. Took some more verbal abuse and off i went giggling.

Dieselfuelonly, it doesn't matter if you have hp, all you need is a story about your truck.

Last year returning home from Kentucky Lake we were driving up Illinois 47 with the boat in tow. It was a 2 lane road fairly clear of traffic. I was minding my own business with cruise set at 65 mph (speed limit is 55). I caught up to a white dodge minivan. The van would speed up and slow down. I just slowed down to something less than 60 and watched him pull away. In about 10 minutes I caught up to him again and set the cruise to 55 and let him pull away again. Some time during this we watched him pass a car ahead of him with very little room to make the pass, all (3) vehicles maneuvering some . Well at less than 55 mph I caught up to him again . I decided to get around this guy. I had an open road, sped up to 65, set the curise and started passing the van. When I got 1/2 way from passing my wife yelled " he's speeding up". So I gave full throttle and looked over to see a rather large man , hunched over the wheel griting his teeth trying somehow to get more speed. It wasn't real easy passing but I pulled away from him and by the time I got back in my lane my speed was a little over 95 mph . My boat weight is somewhere over #6300, I wonder what the crazy man in the van thought about getting beat by a truck pulling a boat . Here is a picture of the rig in my driveway.

me and my brother were coming out of a toll booth yesterday getting onto the freeway as a an acura rsx in the next lane pulled out. He went for the pass as the road narrowed, but i just blocked the road, going the speed limit. As we entered the freeway, he went for the pass again. He was coming up fairly quick, and I said no sir and layed into the fuel. He never caught me and quite honestly I think he gave up. I looked down and was doing about 85 (we started at around 45). He pulled a ricer flyby a few miles down the road and I let him go.

not much to brag about but it made us laugh.

I had a couple in a Dodge 3/4 ton pull out of a beer joint right behind me and they followed me to the stop sign to turn onto the 4 lane highway. I had an idea of what they were going to do, so I turned the Quad box to 100 and pulled into the right lane. Looked in my rearview and they pulled into the left and thought they were gonna blow by me. We were side by side for a second then I hit 5th and pulled far away. Best thing was my dad saw the whole thing while sitting at the stop sign and called me he was impressed. Another time I smoked out this 40 something couple in a convertible that had pulled up under my bumper at a light. My boys (4&6) got a good laugh watching them pull out of the rather large black cloud. Last one, I was doing 70-75 on a 60mph 2 lane when this guy comes flying up behind me. He had plenty of chances to pass but didn't just stayed on my bumper. So the speed limit slows to 45 and I slow down to 40 to cross some rough railroad tracks, I shift to 4th to roll some smoke on him and he goes to pass. I hammer it and so does he side by side going up a hill. I let up to let him over because a truck had just topped the hill. Come to a stop sign a mile down the road and he is waiting there. As I pull up behind him he gives me the thumbs up and ok with this big grin on his face and turns onto another road. I think we both enjoyed that one.

Hmmm, in most states eluding a police officer is a felony. Hopefully you won't be so anxious to do this the next time, prison is a lousy place to grow old.

I had a '91 4WD K-5 blazer a few years ago. I went to a relatives house to try and rip out some bushes in front of her house. Try after try I couldn't do it. I broke the front tow hooks off of the frame and bent the bumper. I had enough of the BS and called a buddy who has an '01 HO standard cab 4WD 6spd. He came over with 600lbs in the bed, locked into 4low and let out the clutch. After a little bit of tire smoke and a couple good tugs the stubborn shrubbery came right out.

I knew I had to have one right then. Took a while but I have it now!

this isnt much but still funny. my dad and i were loading some scrap metal in to my truck out of our barn. we had pulled a top from an old scout out of storage and needed space to take the glass out of it. i hop in to move the truck. i couldnt see my dad but he was standing at the corner of the truck where the exhaust is. i start the truck and pull out. i get out and my dad says, "remind me not to stand there when you start the truck".

I was driving home from work today and....

... nothing happened.
Just another comfortable, safe ride home.
