Truck Starts Hard after sittin overnight

My truck lately has been starting rough in the mornings when it sits over night. It starts then it will run real rough for a couple of seconds till oil pressure gets up then its smooth with no more problems. Wondering if any of yall knew wat thats from? Thanks

Dryrot fuel lines. The fuel lines won't leak fuel but will suck air. Until I replaced the lines on my 96' I parked the truck nose down hill. This seemed to help. Replace the supply/return lines. Replace the soft line from the fuel preheater to liftpump. Didn't see if you're a 4x4. If 4x4 removing the driveline and starter will help when doing the supply/return fuel lines. Since the starter is out replace the starter contacts. If you haven't already changed the contacts they will go bad. This could destroy the starter when they do go bad. The starter on the CTD isn't cheap. I used Coast Guard approved diesel fuel line.

Larry B has what you're looking for.

My 95 did the similar, "Hard to start problem" after sitting over night. I found out that after changing the fuel filter I did not install it tight enough. It worked fine for several months but must of worked loose. I tightened it up and my problem was gone. Hope this helps out, it sure was a quick fix.
