Truck runs for a second after I shut it off...?
I just purchased a 2009 Mega cab with the 6.7 liter and I am blown away with how much power this thing has. Well to say the least I love the truck. The only thing I don't know if it is normal or if something is wrong with it. When I shut it off it continues to run for a second or two after I shut it down. I would appriciateany help.

When you say it keeps running... do you mean it shakes hard on shut down, or everything keeps going for a good second?
I'm not good with the 6.7 area... but I changed your title a little and I'm giving you a bump to the top.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
I'm pretty sure what you notice is normal. These engines don't stop as fast as a gas engine does. I can shut mine off and pull the key out before it actually stops!

Thanks for the info guys. Rockcrawler304 that is exactly what it does. My old 5.9 when you turn the key off it is off. I thought it was probably the computer running its shut down check list and then shutting down. I brought it to the dealer and they told me to drop it off because this wasn't normal. I will see tomorrow what they say and get back. 1-2-3 It has the 373 gears.
