MO, KS, OK, AR Ok who knows where and when the pulls are? Someone keep us all up to date so we don't miss any. Let us know a few weeks ahead of time so we can go if we want to.
I'm mostly a spectator but it's good visiting with you that pull a lot or spectate a lot like I do. Of course you could give us the web address for all the associations or if the sled opperators have a schedule.

Doesnt look like there will be a Diesel pull this year in Raymondville. But I am trying to put a pull together maybe in Roby, Mo this year. I am also thinking of Doing my own somewhere in the Houston area.

Heard this week that MMTTPA is having a test-n-tune on May 2, thin a points pull that night. Doubt i stick around for the points pull, but plan on hooking a few times that day. Also John from Floor It will be in Jeff City that day (not for sure if its a done deal) with his Dyno at Airdog. So nothin better thin a dyno and pull all in one day.

Mexico MO on the 13th of June will be a very very good pull. Show-me Smokers has a pull as well as the 3.0 cmpa and itpa trucks. Ill have the truck at that one for sure. I believe July 30... Maybe June 30th. Whatever one is on a Friday. There is a Show-Me SMokers pull also that is going to be HUGE. Pure Diesel Power will be down with 2 trucks, Wesley Kusilek will be there with his 2 trucks. There will be a 2.4, 2.6, and Super Street class, so everyone will hook. $2500 prize purse for super street right now. And probably much more. I look for that one to be a big pull like the Mexico hook.

smokin-u could you share the spring river diesel class rules. and different class options. I've been to a couple pulls and interested in pulling. Just wondering bout rules such as hitch height, air bags allowed, weight brackets? weight classes? and can you pull in the middle of the season or do you have to be registered or something? thanks jared

there is a 8000# class can pull gas diesel 2 or 4wd. they made that for more of the stock truck crowd. it has a 15mph speed limit pretty much to keep the bigger trucks out of it. 26" hitch hieght tires no bigger than 33 12.50 no twin turboes unless on 08 or newer ford and no spray of any kind. the other class we have is an 8500# diesel pickup. same rules as small class plus you can have a hanging ballast that extends no further than 60" from center line of axle to front of weight. plus they ask that you have u joint shields. bags are allowed but the fuse must be pulled at the time of crossing the scales before you hook. you can pull at any time the only difference is a paid member will pull for points and it cost a little less money to enter if your a member. hope this answers a few of your questions

They don't have a class for trucks like mine? 9800lbs, low hitch height, drive it for work everyday. 400+hp I trailer it all the time only the trailer is behind me with other trucks on it.

k. thanks a bunch. one last question. The u joint/ drive line shields how big a stickler are they on this? does anyone have pics of a weight bracket for a 3rd gen?

SMOKIN-U
07-08-2009, 09:43 AM
they arent on the u-joint shields only a few people run them and they never say anything. some guys use snow plow mout and build from there. if you have tow hooks the easiest thing to do would be remove them and weld a receiver tube to a plate then re-bolt that where the tow hooks were and have you a bracket slide in and pin then you should be good to go

i asked last night and unless you can make weight in either of the two classes you would have to pull exibition. you could choose to do so after either of the two diesel classes. its just an unfair advantage with what you weigh. so you could still hook just not for money. its not expensive your first hook is the cost of your admittance which is usually 8 bucks.
