Just a heads up if you have problems programming your transponder keys.

I tried about 1 dozen times to program a spare transponder key for my 2006 CTD, but I could not get the system into the program mode. I followed the instructions exactly in the owners manual, but the "Security Light" would not flash. I then went to one of our local dodge dealerships and talked to the service manager. The service manager tried a number of times and also could not get into the program mode. He finally did get it to work, by removing the first key within 3 seconds after it had been turned to the on position and then immediately inserting the second key and turning it to the on position. After that everything worked.

After I came home I tried to get into the program mode by following the manual and again found that it did not work, but when I did what the service manager did it worked.
