Has anyone ever used Treadwright tires? Re-treaded tires.

It looked to me that you were not saving much off the regular price of those tires anyway. If you were to go that direction, maybe look at the price of the tires they are re-treading in the first place to see what they are actually saving you. Also, I didn't see a warranty, but failure of ones of those could probably cause some damage on our trucks. Again, I would be hesitant to buy they, but just my .02

Taking notes back from my tanker driving days we only ran retreads on the trailers and drive axles. Never on the steering axle.

Personally I would never run retreads on my personal vehicles.

Hate to insult anyone, but are you willing to risk your and maybe your families safety for saving a few bucks? Let alone others that may become involved in your short sided decision?

I can get brand new tires for my dually at tire rack for 127 ea. (General Ameritrac) they have lasted 90K +

Please re-consider re-treds.... Would you go the cheap route on your brakes as well? Heck, cut a hole in the floor and drag your feet... that will work... well eventually.

Wow, never thought of cutting a hole in the floor and braking flintstone syle. Just have to think about retreaded nikes. I doubt ill put them on my truck, im in the process of getting a michelin warranty. A bud at work was thinking about using them on his jeep for wheeling. Not for sure if he should if hes going on the highway with them though. Thanks all for the input.
