What transmisson to go with?
Ok well its time to put a tranny in my truck. What tranny should i go with? I want to make sure that its gonna be able to handle 800 hp+! I was looking at ats transmissons and im not sure what stage can handle that much. I cant find any goerend or suncoast transmisson's anywhere on the internet. What tranny would you go with? Im kinda on a budget but i want to make sure i dont have to replace it later. Thanks

Any of the companies already mentioned from previous members would be a good choice! I'm a little iffy when it comes to ATS, just cause of their hit and miss trannies, just my opinion though.

My DTT was 7 k but a little more customized for my towin and plowin then most. Terry at Moonlight diesel put mine in and told me I can beat the crap out of it to 600 hp.
So far I am very pleased with it.

I've only got about 250 miles on my Goerend, but I like it so far. Just hope it will last $5,000 dollars worth. Nothin' like putting in half the value of your truck to make it go....

I'm workin on the same probem. I just had to rebuild my tranny. I spent 2,200 dollars and it won't even handl the edge pulse chip. Which I don't know how much more power it gives you. And the converter slips sometimes. But I don't know which. Aftermarket converter to go with? I need a lil help. Any help at all is appreciated.
