Transmission surges

I pull a 5th wheel with an automatic. When under load such as up hill from a stop as it shifts into 3rd it suges or feels like the transmission is slipping, grabbing, slipping, grabbing or shift then back, snift then back until thottle is reduced. I do not think it is a miss from the engine and not the torque converter as it is locked out. The truck has 80k miles with recent fluid change. This conditon is not felt when not pulling the camper. Is there an additive that should be in the fluid to help the shift valves? Thanks for your help

Check a few posts down for a similar post by TallTom I did all the grounds ran a separate ground from the top of the apps to the ground of the drivers side battery, did the alum foil wrap on the alternator wire. Ran a new ground from the passenger battery to the computer screw on the firewall . Checked the batteries for a bad one and nothing helped. I found a post recomending that I cut and splice the green and yellow wire running into the bottom of the tps. www.suncoastconvertors.com I just did this about 1 hr ago and did a short test run and it seemed to fix it. I will take it on a drive about 60 miles this afternoon and post back this evening. This seems to have cured my problem. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
