transmission shifting points?

I have just purchased a 1997 diesel dually, runs very nice and was a steal to buy. Looking for advice on shift patterns, 1st 2nd and 3rd work good...seems to shift to overdrive late?...about 2000 rpm or 45-50 mph. Is it normal?

You can fix up the late OD and TQ by adjusting the TPS sensor. Lots of info on that here. I don't think there's a "TPS Thread" though.

Here's some good info on it: http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/transmi...TPS_adjust.htm
