Transmission Shifting 1st and 2nd

In the morning my truck shifts between 1st and 2nd multiple times. I don't think this is normal. but it just does it when it is cold.(Trans temp 70 and Engine temp 130) Should I take it into the dealer?

It's probably the governor solenoid in the VB. Mine started acting up and without knowing better I continued to drive it until I got the new one and got it installed. In only a week and a half it did enough clutch damage to cause shutter in the tranny. My truck is out of commission right now while the tranny is being overhauled.

There are two sensors to replace. One is called a pressure sensor and the other is called a transducer. Replace them both together. Dealer cost for both of them is about $135.00. They are very easy to change as well.

It may be your programmer, not any parts on your transmission. Messing with the stock torque management can create problems...

I'm going to take off the programer . But should I take off the AFE air filter? Before taking it to the dealer.
