Transmission Leak 90 degree Rubber hose leaking

Hey forum, have the 2004 Cummins Auto Transmission with a leak under the drivers side, seems to have two hard steel lines going into the side of the engine possibly for cooling IDK. RIght under both of the hard steel lines is a 90 degree rubber fitting that seems to reduce in size as it makes the 90*. Lower 90* rubber fitting is leaking when in idle and gear, how often does this happen? Seems like a dealer only part in that its small, 90* bend and it has a taper to it, any info is much appreciated, thanks.

Yep sounds like you're found your problem. Do a search, plenty of discussion on this and there was a thread a while back with pictures.

FOund the problem, the lower water cooler hose clamp with is overly massive sharp side ended up cutting a groove in the hard pressure line and that was the failure. I wrapped it with radiator repair tape 3 times and took a 5/8 hose, cut it down the middle and used 5-6 hose clamps to cinch it down. So far no leaks, saved 200 bucks for a replacement line.
