From what I gathered, a P0713 is TRANS TEMP SENSOR TOO HIGH. Not sure if that means voltage or temp. Either way, the thermistor is part of the GOVERNOR PRESSURE SOLENOID VALVE located on the valve body. Whats your email and I can send you a copy of the 03 service manual.

It is very easy (5 min. to change). Three 7/16 bolts and two torx bolts and you are done. No harder than changing the oil, Don't fret about it....you can do it.

No its not. The gov solenoid and transducer and totally seperate pieces.

The thermistor is a seperate piece on the VB. The cod eis voltage too high which coud mean a bad sensor or possible a rubbed wire that is gorunding.

Is it driving normally?

My pressure transducer was damaged from the factory and it caused very eratic shifting on my new truck after about 80 miles. My governor and transducer were both replaced. All it took was dropping the pan and changing them out.

What did you find out? My '03 has just developed a light shutter. Oddley enough the shutter totally dissapears after 5-10 minutes of driving...only to show up again on the next cold start!??? (The check engine light has not tripped so far).

Therimistor is built into the governor pressure transducer with 4 wires. Solenoid has two wires. Easy to replace by dropping pan. The new parts in hand make it self explantory on how to replace. Well, for most technically inclined it would.
The problem with high voltage code could also be the result of a broken wire or possiblly a elecrital short in the circuit.

Was reading through the Chrysler Shop/Service Manual and it mentioned how the gpt samples/measures the Trans fluid temp and makes adjustments according to whatever the trans fluid temps are. Had no idea there were tranny adjustments being made based on the temp of the tranny fluid!

Looks like the GPT is NOT my problem... happened to notice a tuna can sized puddle of trans fluid leaking from the trans cooler last week! Crawled under the truck & found trans fluid drips hanging off the right side/passenger side of the trans cooler (kinda looks like the drips might be seeping past the rubber seals but really can't tell where the drips are coming from(?) Checked the trans fluid level & sure enough was down about 2+ quarts. By the size of the puddle I figure I'm losing bout a 1/2 quart a week

((On a side note... has anyone noticed ATF+4 being in short supply? Went to Walmart hoping to find a wide selection & some decent prices on ATF+4 but was shocked to see they only offer one row of ATF+4 (which was out of stock ) and of course they had over a dozen rows of every other type of trans fluid known to man... so I camped out for 20min reading the label info off all the other brands of ATF hoping to find something compatible...unfortunately I walked out empty handed and headed out of my way to autozone where I also found a limited number of brands of ATF+4 Why is ATF+4 limited to just a few brands while there are so many NON-ATF+4 type tranny fluids available???))
