Transmission differences from a 98 12v to a 2000 24v

Like the title says....what are the differences. Can I put a 2000 47re into my truck without any major mods? Maybe just some sensors are different? Or would the Valve body have to be changed?

I found a pretty good deal on a trans from a 2000, so I want to know if I should grab it?

Thanks guys and gals.

The biggest issue can think of is the electronics. Gov pres solenoid, transducer, and temp sensor are not compitable. Changed in 2000. Good news, you can install your electronics in the later tranny and put in 98.

Are the parts I have to swap an easy job, or are we talking complete disassembly?
