Transmission Death
Welp, I finally did it. I lost all forward gears!!! I've been shoppin around trying to find a decent trans. without spendin a fortune. I found an outfit out of St. Petersburg called tranzparts1. Looks like he puts all kinds of goodies in it (red eagle clutches, koenig steeles, raybestos bands/clutches) with a triple lock converter for around $2,200. I figured thats not a bad deal, and he has good feedback, but I was wondering if anyone has ever delt with this guy. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

I have been pricing built transmissions here lately There between 4 and 5k with a billet input. Just something to think about.

sounds cheep to me too, been priceing them too, best deal i have found was to get mine done by a place in town that spechelizes in dodge autos, and there at 3,300 for the triple disk and rebuild

i got mine rebuilt for $2800 including tax, couldnt write it off as farm use, mines got a single disc billet torque conv. w/ a max torque of 750 saddly, im at about 800 now

Goerend has good priced trans, Unbelievable warranty, and will give you the exact type of trans for your needs, with their converter and valvebody types.

Thanks for the advice! The guy does say the valve body is updated, and he did say it was a triple lock converter (not sure who makes it though). The guys on ebay and has a great feedback rating. Not sure if he offers billet though? Thanks again everyone!

So what he is saying in that description is the upgraded tranny is 2200 and then you gotta tack another 895 bucks on that for their super duper torque converter?

Yeah big blue, the tranny is $1,274 and the converter is another $895.
I don't plan on puttin a whole lotta juice to the truck, I have a tst comp box on it now. I'm probably gonna have Jim Jessup screw with the ECM some, and put a set of 40 horse sticks in it and be done.
