Any know what size the torx socket would be for the inspection plugs on the transfer case? I did a search but didnt have any luck. I have a T50 (too small) and a T60 (too big). I'm going to work shortly and wanted to pick one up on my way. Thanks

The inspection plug plug can be removed by a 30mm socket.

Mine is round and looks like it takes a Torx. Somewhere between a T50 and a T60.

Not sure what year your truck is but on mine it was a standard 3/8" socket drive (it is actually two overlapping squares that "look" like a torx but is not).

Same here on my 96

a 3/8 rachet fits right in and knocks it right off..

If your '95 is like mine (I am sure it is) it is NOT a torx. It is a 3/8" socket drive. It looks like a torx but a torx has angles of less than 90 degrees on the "points". If you look at the plug and check the corners (points) you will see they have a 90 degree angle ie. square. Actually two squares that overlap - 45 degrees off.

How can I be so sure? I spent a long time looking for a torx bit for mine with no luck - then I found out it was a regular SQUARE socket drive.

Same here. Just put a 3/8" drive scoket wrench in it to remove.

If memory serves me correctly, Ive tried that before with no luck... but like I said, I'll try it again tonight.

I just checked mine today with a 3/8 ratchet and extention. no socket or torx needed.

Westcoast is right. A 30mm or a big adjustable wrench works as well as the 3/8. I did'nt see that until he mentioned it, can't see the forrest for the trees. It fits over the whole plug.
