Transfer Case Capacity
Hafta drain the transfer case and replace the fluid. It's wayyy overdue! Does anyone know how much the NV241LD transfer case holds?

I replaced mine with Amsoil ATF. I don't recall how much but I believe I bought 4 qts and I think I had some left. Drain it out in a measured pitcher, that will tell you.

FSM says 4.61 pints of ATF+4, Chrysler spec 9602, and to fill to the bottom of the fill hole. So three quarts should be more than enough. Oh, torque spec on drain and fill plugs is 30-40 ft-lbs., which is a pretty loose torque spec. "Tight enough that it doesn't leak" probably would have worked...

NV273D Oil Capacity
Just changed my transfer case oil in a Ram 2500 with NPG/NV 273D and it took 2.75 quarts. Strange the spec is 2 quarts...any thoughts? I've noticed a few other people have experienced this.
