Transducer in Tranny...

I am wondering if anyone else has issues with the the transducer going out constantly in their truck? I am on I think my third one. Last time I replaced the solenoid and transducer thinking maybe it was one casuing the other problem. Anyone have any ideas as to what causes one to fail so much? I get maybe 3-5k miles out of one.

I just did mine on my 04.5' after 164,000. It was just the temp sensor but replaced both while I was in it. This dosen't help but maybe a piece of the puzzle.

Billet Suncoast is the problem. Quite likely its the gov solenoid causing the issues if its shifting thats the problem. The fix is the aftermarket solenoid.

If its actually the transducer quitting then you have another problem somewhere.

Well, That is my question. It is the transducer that keeps going bad. Why is my Suncoast tranny the issue?

Built transmissions are hard on the gov solenoids because of the pressures they. Could possibly be the reason for the transducer going out also though that doesn't seem to be as big a problem.

From the perspective of the OE pieces the built trans is the problem. From the perspective od what a built trans gives you the OE garbage is the problem.

Do you have an upgraded solenoid or the stock one?
