Trans.. temp sender probe
Anyone know how to route the transmission probe that is connected to the ISSPRO tranny temp guage. The line and sending unit {probe} look like they are connected solid. So if it is how do you route the probe from the guage to the cooler or pan which ever source you are using? The probe is too large to route easily thru the dash. That's if you are using a triple pillar pod. I haven't seen any threads on this yet. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Can't you just start at the tranny end and route the gauge end of the wire?
I haven't seen them all but have never seen one where the gauge end is one piece. In fact never seen one where the sender is connected soild, seems like it would be a pain threading the sender in having to twist the wire around also.
Is it even wire or is it a copper tube?
Once you figure it out install the new sender in the port in the outlet line to the cooler in place of the stock probe, drivers side a little forward of the tranny. You will have to jump the connector that goes to the stock probe with a 1k ohm resistor to trick the computer into thinking the trans is at proper operating temperature. You will also most likely need a 3/8''x1/8'' reducer bushing as the stock sender is 3/8'', most aftermarket are 1/8''. Pan temps aren't acurate.

Hi Bill, As far as I can tell the guage and the probe and wire are one piece. I am going back to the ISSPRO distributor this week and I will take the guage with me. The ISSPRO company is located in Potrland but they rather sell it to their distributor. Must be how they make their money. {Although I bought my pod directly fromISSPRO for $45.00.} I would of pm you but I don't like" beating a good horse to death." I will get back to you on my issue with the guage. I suppose they gave me the wrong one as they did sell me the wrong thermo-coupler for the Pyro. The sells person only knows part numbers and thats about it. Nice guy, but not real sharp on the application end of it.-Thanks again Bill--Ray

Tranny temp guage
Just found out that they sold me a mechanical guage that has the capillary attached instead of the electrical one. Now that makes more since as far as the instalation goes. I will install the guages later this week. I hope I finally "Got all my ducks in a row" to proceed without having too much trouble. Painted the pod to match interior it turned out perfect. Now all I have to do is make a clean routing and attach the pod neatly and I will be a happy camper! ---Thanks Bill for all your input and expertise again--Ray

I couldn't find paint for my truck anywhere, not even at the dealer. Where did you find it.
Thanks, and you can yell at me for hijacking, but I had to ask.

Mopar paint
Not a problem Chris, anything I post is generally a question anyway. If I can help anyone out I'm glad to do so.
I found my paint at my local Dodge dealer here in town. I gave them my last 6 or 8 digits of my VIN# from there thay are able to figure out what paint or colors were used on your truck. Mine is grey, the paint can I purchased from the Dodge dealer has #4504706
code HDS
med. quartz interior-"for use on vinyl and plastic"
This info is all on the cap.

Here is one way to do it. I believe it is the most cost effective and adaptable way to mount the sensor in the output line to the cooler (the line with the hottest fluid temp). This is in RATTLINRAMs Gallery. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...cat/500/page/2
If you like OEM here is how I did it, it is the black line the part number is in the description. It is pricey. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...cat/500/page/1
Hope this helps.
