Check the throttle valve cable adjustment, one end is connected to throttle linkage at the bellcrank assy. Other end goes to a lever on the tranny, when the throttle moves so should the lever on the tranny.
It has a push button slide adjustment on it, but you need a buddy to mash the go pedal while you look at the lever to make it right.

Its at the bellcrank end, the pushbutton may or may not be visible depending on how it was installed.
Adjust it so there is no slack on the inner wire to start with, then with the help of a buddy have him slowly mash the throttle while you look at the lever on the trans. Lever on trans should move instantly with the throttle.

I have one that came off a V10. Not sure its the same though, will have to go look and see. Its raining here so it might be a bit before I can go check.
You can have it for the cost of shipping to your zcode, I got it xtra with a cruise servo i bought.
Edit... went out and looked, it looks the same to me. Same connectors on each end, but i did not measure the length.
