Trans-Go Kit ??

I put a transgo shift kit, new servos, band strut, etc. in the truck. As an afterthought, I also installed a billet triple disk converter. I had to plug the holes that I had drilled earlier. Everything has worked fine with the exception of some very hard shifts into OD when towing the 5er. I have even found that I can let out of the throttle and let it shift into OD when towing and it is fine. However, if I forget, it will put your dentures on the dash.

Is there some way to calm down the locked shift into OD before I forget and break something?

I was told by Dave Goerend not to use the Tow/Haul mode after I installed the Transgo and the Triple-Disk Torque Converter.

It will do this hard shift into OD regardless of tow/haul mode when towing. It is not noticeable unless I have a fairly decent size load behind it. If I'm just towing a couple of 4-wheelers on a utility trailer I don't even notice the shift.

Did you install the 3-4 accumulator springs correctly? I seem to recall stacking 3 springs, maybe you should call Trans-go for more advice on how to tame the shift. I have talked to Glenn with tech support a couple times, he seems to know what he is talking about.

Unfortunately that seems to be a side effect of a triple disk, a load, and the trans trying to think for itself. The lockup on the OD shift is just pulsed si it never unlocks a tripe, and when it does it with more APPS it thinks there is a load plus the extra pressure in the creates a problem.

Definitelt call TransGo and see if they have an insite.

Good info guys. I just don't want anything (input shaft especially) to break this year while I'm on vacation and don't have access to the proper tools. Been there and done that too many times now. I'd rather have all the wrenching done far enough in advance so that it gets tested and then while on vacation, I never open the tool box. I was warned in advance of the TCC code but not the harsh OD shift when towing.

I think a call to transgo is in order. On the bright side, it might be a good excuse to upgrade some more tranny parts.
Thanks again.
