trans fluid overfull
went to the dealer to have tsb on the trans cooler line done
after getting it back i checked the fluid when it was hot and in n and its reading about 1/4 inch above full
i assume they just added some fluid to make up for what was lost in the line change
has anyone else rechecked thier fluid after the tsb
will it hurt it to run it like this or do i need to return it to them and have them drain out some

My '03 was the same way after the TSB was done. I towed all over the southeast with it at that level. Never a problem. When I did the tranny service at 38000, I let it sit all weekend (the drainback valves usually don't work all that good) and got two full gallons out of it with a pan drop. I put two full gallons of ATF+4 back in and it was back to the same mark agian. Proper level is important but I don't think that little bit is going to hurt anything. If it's too full the gears will churn the fluid and aerate it causing erattic shifts and higher temperature. I didn't see either.
