Trans advice(valve bodies)
I need to get my trans serviced and I've talked to different techs about installing a valve body. One guy says they use the trans-go shift kit and the other uses a suncoast valve body. They both end up being about the same money appoximately 650 for the valve body, labor, new filter, band adjust and fluid. Anybody have an opinion one way or the other, or experience?? Is it worth doing if you don't do a torque converter? Truck is a weekend driver and does quite a bit of towing and I have a quad standard module.

i too am looking at valve bodies i have been looking at the HTS valve bodies they are only 395. i was also looking at the goerend his are 595 but says with solenoids does the hts not have new solenoids? and is the goerend more cause it has the core charge tacked on then you will receive it back or is it like hts where they only charge core if they dont get it back ??

I put a trans go in my stock trans. I could slip the converter on level 5 on the smarty before the trans go, now it holds level 9. Not sure how much longer the stock converter is gonna hold, but it's been 10,000 miles since the trans go. I kinda like having the stock converter as my weak link.
