when your going 60 your TC is locked, so your temps are low. In town you not locked. And that's when the heat comes in to play. If I'm messin around I can hit 190 (usually 170-180 though) in town empty.

I have about the same temps as you pulling my 26ft TH loaded up. But I've never gone over 195 loaded or empty..

Same temps here 160* hwy speed, in town can shoot to 230* quick but normally 210*. My gauge is in the hot line not the pan so I'm not too worried as it should cool before entering the trans again but I change the fluid every 15,000 miles just to be safe. I'm hoping my new trans will run cooler.

Something else you can do is put it in neutral at lights and that will help
cool down tranny that is with a automatic.

Those numbers sound about right, where is your sending unit? If its in the hot line, I would not worry about it...

I added a remote trans cooler with a fan from permacool. Dropped my temps almost 30 degrees in stop and go traffic.

I think the best place for an auxiliary cooler and fan is under the bed. I put one in when I used to plow and it dropped plowing temps almost 50*. If it's under the bed it draws much cooler air than up at the front, this makes it very effective for stop and go traffic when there's no airflow up front.

I put in the front bumper, between the ports that direct air to the front coolers. If I had to I could bypass the remote cooler (back to stock) in 5 minutes with a screw driver. No pics, my camera is dead.
