Can one of the pressure ports be used for conveniently inserting the temperature sensor? If so which one would get the mnost fluid?

I had mine in the port going in from the back where the o/d section bolts to the case. it was about 20 deg. cooler vthan the hot line.

where is the hot line?

well hot line is the forward cooler line in stock trucks have a temp sensor there already. You have the motorhome setup right ? And yes 1/8 npt
