I have a 99 dodge diesel. The tranny is having trouble shifting from 1-2 wile driving in town. I hunts around for the gear. like it's goning back and forth between the gears. It will do this about ever time if you not on the throttle. It also acts like its takeing off in second once and a wile, not much, about once a week. It acts fine wile taking off from a stop sign, like in country running it up threw the gears. So far I have changed the oil and filter, add Lucas additive. adjusted the band, played with the kick down. Nothing makes a difference. any ideas from anybody? thanks

It was the governor solenoid, If your governor pressure varies alor up and down. this is the problem.

now i'm working on a transgo shift kit, anybody know anything about this.

I have been running a Transgo in mine with sythetic fluid for about 1 1/2 years now. My only power upgrade is an Edge EZ. I have pulled my 9,000 5th wheel for about 5,000+ miles with this set up and it is holding up so far. Most people on here recommend a aftermarket valve body instead of the Transgo, but when I did it the cost was a factor, so I went with the Transgo.
