tranny

when my truck is cold or been sitting for over like 3 hours on the first shift to into drive the truck wont move, if i accelerate the tranny will slip a little but after the first take off it is fine the tranny dont slip at all and every thing is great, any ideas why this happens?

try pulling the shifter manually into 1st see if that works! mine was trying to pull out in high gear and i fixed it today with a new govenor sol.

Do a search on it.
It is the converter refilling after a long sit.

Let the truck idle for one minute in neutral, not park (fills the cooler faster), then pull away, I guarantee you will feel no slip. I am a Gold Certified Chrysler tech. Your converter is fine, bushing in the front of your input clutch hub has wear, it can last a lifetime like that.
